Monitoring setup LG Android

Latest update adding my Monitor.

I'm using an LG minny tablet 4.75 x 8.25. AT&T with 4G Cell (all ready had it gathering dust in a desk drawer)

Interface; BAFX Products 34t5 Bluetooth OBDII Scan Tool for Android (Amazon)

OBD2 ribbon cable Y splitter. (Amazon)

Running Torque: Set up some Gage's over the last few days.

Not really working the rig hard cruising around 85F days.

Oil vs coolant running 9 degree delta.

Torque is a good starting place, I don't see the need to spend big bucks on anything more for now, this will give me the data to understand my 6.0.

I am struggling a bit configuring the display for real time and find the default gages way too unreadable in bright light. I changed out the format for some white background gages but still can't really read them so I'm logging my runs for now. I have to set it in the pullout dash cup holder really bad viewing angle.

So got this done in less than 10 days under 40$, my happy index is pegged in the green.

Ohhhhhh....... now I'm even more interested since EGT can be integrated into this deal.

Couple hundred extra bucks by the time you buy the interface box with the thermocouple and then the adapter to go from the box to the display device - phone/tablet etc...

Still looking way cheaper than buying an Edge monitor.

Reviving this old thread because I just finished speed reading ALL 692 posts (70 pages)

What I learned....

1)TP is a good and cheap monitoring tool
2) doesnt monitor egt's
3) very customize able
4) reads and clears codes
5) I still love my Edge CTS2

Not sure about EGT's for the 7.3 but it definitely does them for the 6.7 Have mine set up through a lg 7 pad that is gonna run all the audio visual stuff in the truck as soon as my google fi data sim card gets here. Really impressed with torque app so far. I like that I can look at all the tire pressures in real time as well. After dinking around with the MFT i got it to sync so the tablet syncs Bluetooth for media and the phone syncs to the phone part at the same time .

Look at my torque stuff. I have questions

02 Excision 7.3l 4wd

I found the oil temp should be around 140F and trans temp should be around 160F-180F but mine didn't come anywhere near those numbers. Is it the code in my pids? It is the same from what I've found online. This is on a drive that everything is warmed up and should be up to temp.

oil temp
max value 250
scale factor 1x
unit type F
equation (((A*256)+B)/100)-40

transmission temp (Method 3)
max value 200
scale factor 1x
unit type F
equation (((A*256)+B)*-0.0036)+212.98

Transmission Temp doesn't work at all

Move your post to this thread (https://www.powerstroke.org/forum/gen...pp-photos.html) and compare numbers.

Just to start you off though, what were the ambient temps and how long did you drive?

Oil should be around 190-205ish depending on your driving habits and conditions when you've reached the "warmed-up" stage in your drive.

Were you hauling anything?

What's the terrain?

City or highway?

low 70F ambient, I drove for over 30mins, relatively flat in North Texas no load. Temperature gauge on the dash red in the middle as well as the transmission temp right in the middle

Is it safe to say that you didn't download the Ford specific package to Torque? That's likely what's throwing everything off.

I'd consider uninstalling and deleting everything. Start from the bottom and reinstall everything. I've never heard of a problem like this (especially from an '02).
