not really so much worried about adding more power more leaning towards fuel economy I originally had the CTS which I thought was really decent just didn't like that I had to go through all the steps to switch it from one tune to the next and I do have a light ficm tune in it as well
The steps are necessary for your trucks long term reliability. The 6.0L has a transmission computer and the trucks computer. The sct flash tuners reprogram both and allow relearn to start. You should drive your truck gently for a few days if you change tunes with it. The edge tuner has the advantage of shift on the fly tuning but at a great cost. The transmission doesn't go through the necessary steps and WILL cause issues down the road. It may takes some time with the sct tuner but its better for the 6.0L plain and simple.
Regarding fuel economy. I experimented like crazy with different tuners and chips and even had php's ficm tuner. The single best combo was the transmission tune with the sct 3015 (at the time) and the atlas 40 ficm tune. I ran the almost exact same 900 mile road trip 10+ times and tried my best to stop at same places etc. the ficm tune by itself was the biggest fuel economy improvement while NOT running an ecm tune. The atlas gives a albeit small boost in power too though.
Use the edge as a monitor and only that is you plan on keeping the truck long term.
Google it. you'll see very quickly why SCT is second to none for the 6.0L etc.
