DPF % and OCR Screens - Help me understand

I'm dropping off my 2017 F250 SD at the Ford dealer on Monday for an oil change and state inspection. While it's in the shop and since I do a lot of short trip driving (7 miles to work), I am having them load the DPF percentage feature and the OCR so I can do manual regens in necessary.

My question is this, when they load these features, what will I see on the dash?

I know under the "truck info" screen I will see the DPF % screen.

Will I also see an on-screen option for the OCR? Or is the OCR option only coming up when the % is full?

In short, will I see two new screens or only one?

It will regen on its own when it gets close to 100%. I dont think you can manually do it and why would you? Your gas mileage goes south when this happens. Just watch it and let it do its thing.

It will Regen on its own. If he is doing short trips it will not complete unless he drives it. If it gets to 100% percent he will be able to do it manually

You should also have a check box in settings to turn off auto regen.

I also make a lot of short trips and keep the auto regen turned off. This keeps the truck from starting regens that I know won't finish. I turn auto regen back on when the filter is full and I'm going to be driving enough to complete the cleaning. Every time I start the truck I have to click ok to acknowledge the auto regen feature is off. I have never done a stationary regen and don't plan to as I see it as a complete waste of fuel. I'd rather the lion's share of exhaust heat come from moving me down the road and only enough additional fuel to clean the DPF be added.

Correct, I never know on short trips if its going to regen and then not finish. At least this way I can monitor it and know when its close and drive it if needed. Thanks blackfords, I just needed to know what to expect and that the dealer installs the DPF % correctly.

I don't have a checkbox to turn auto Regen off. Maybe I'm missing it.

Also the OCR only shows up when it is in park. It won't show up at 100% if you are driving. I use the OCR if the filter is at 100% and i don't have a highway trip planned that will complete a full regen. That way I don't drive it just to complete a regen and put the extra miles on it.

I want to get that screen loaded into my tuck but when I asked the dealer about getting it done I got a deer in the headlight look. He then asked, you can do that?

It's a quick fix with Forscan. It took me less than 10 minutes.
