FYI - Recalls (that I had done)

Brought my 2017 to Ford yesterday for 3 recalls:
1) Engine block heater replacement (Field Service Action Number:19G01)
2) Unintended tailgate opening (Ford Recall number: 19S48)
3) Carpet shielding and insulation rework (Field Service Action Number:19S52)
#2 is new (December 2019). I didn't even know about it until the dealership told me when I went to schedule #1.

There’s also Recalls for door latches freezing and day time running lights. My cousin couldn’t get into his truck the other day.

You are correct on the door latches but I didn't see the one on daytime running lights via the Ford Owner site. Will have to check into that.

Apparently the door latch thing isn't a recall but rather a TSB for those that may be in an area that could experience it. I opted not to worry about it since we don't freeze too often in NC.

Could be a Canadian thing. I have all the recalls you mentioned in addition to door locks (recall in Canada) and DRL.

I was in for door latch freezing ...this is only a recall that they will fix IF IT HAPPENS well guess what it happened to me. Door lock on drivers door froze Open yes Open ...so I drove my 80K truck around most of the morning holding the door closed LOL....parked it with the sun beating on that side for a few hours and it started locking again....
Had all these done you have listed on the same day I got the locks fixed 4 1/2 hours 2 guys
except #2 because they didn't have the parts....
So I have to go to Ford again for that

My truck had already had the door latch freezing FSA done when I bought it. However, I still had to take it in because whoever did it did a sloppy job and it was causing an issue with the door locks.

I still have to get the block heater, tailgate and carpet insulation recalls done though.
I need to call and set that up and make sure with the service manager that they won't have a problem with my louder than normal exhaust.

An appointment is definitely recommended. I originally called my dealership the week of Christmas to get just the block heater done (they had already snipped the plug off) and the service adviser informed me about the tailgate. He had to order parts for the tailgate which took about 10 days to get and then he called and we setup a time.

Door locks freezing is a field service action. Will only repair if the problem is present.

The only recall I have been notified of is the daytime running lights one. I have not received anything about the carpet fire, tailgate opening, block heater or anything else. 2018 F 350 Limited.

Your build date maybe exclude you from some of the recalls.

I took mine in for scheduled service. They did the tailgate issue, the seat belt tensioner, and the freezing door locks. He told me the daytime running light issue is that on some builds the running lights may stay on with the brights on, and that exceeds legal forward wattage. I told him that wasn't a problem for me, so they didn't touch it. Oh yeah, they also replaced the steering damper, as I had death wobble last week.
