Ok, just got off the phone with reputable ford service facility in twin cities of Mn here. I got the 6.7 tech on the phone. All new 2019 6.7s have green colored coolant but he said it’s not the old school 80s or 90s green. It’s fords latest and greatest. He also joked that ford has used so many colors that they ran out and ended up back with green, lol.

Apparently, that’s what they are seeing rolling thru their service bays. Green is the new color.

I was half ready to say Ford may have created their own new super green in my previous post hahahahaha. I would do A LOT of reseach but im betting you can still use the older 6.7l coolant or the red Cat elc that was popular with 6.0ls and 7.3ls. Im really curious if its just a different color to keep people buying motorcraft vs going to walmart or other store to pay 2/3s for same product lol.

Interesting how the attached chart shows yellow for even the 2020's...

Wonder if Ford went back to the 7.3l coolant, wasn't that green I recall? Motorcraft VC5 or something.

So the regular green coolant required an anti cavitation/sca additive sold by ford and wix (wixcool). Id look at the bottle real carefully and see if its some new precharged green. I can't possibly see regular green in a new 6.7L when it can cavitate and kill a 7.3l 6.0l and 6.4l etc. The ford gold was supposed to be precharged (it was) but even a fresh system still needed a bottle or two of the additive to be up to spec.

Nope no mention. Your might be right on the additive for diesel but this coolant is also recommend in a all gas engines too.

Let’s not forget. The coolant says “yellow” when it is clearly green!!!!!!

Wtf ford, your making this way to difficult for even technicians to service the cooling system right.

Can’t wait for the first guy to swing into orielys and top with with green coolant and sludge his system up and ford deny a $22,000 engine replacement bill.

Well if you don't use WSS-M97B57-A2 Motorcraft® Yellow Prediluted Antifreeze/Coolant VC-13DL-G or the proper equivalent it's not their problem you can't read.

I know but seriously. Someone at ford needs to eventually have a drrrrrrrr moment and be like, maybe would shouldn’t label this new coolant “yellow”. Maybe it should be high performance ford green.
