no tranny pan drain plug!!!

WTF, my new 2019 6.7 has no drain plug for the tranny. It has a spot that seems to accept a drain plug if drilled and tapped.

Called my friendly local Autonation Ford Parts and the 2019 tranny pan part # links to the 2011 tranny pan which had a plug integrated. They are on back order and my name is now on the list along with 3 other people.

Is that out of pocket or are they replacing them on Fords dime?

I’m very happy mine was built on 06/17 then! I noticed I had a drain plug but others were saying they didn’t.

Haha, gotcha, I wasn't sure if it was a mistake on Fords part. Trying to increase book time on a fluid change, or make it less appealing to the DIY guy?
