P0402 code?

Anyone have had P0402 code triggered? My 17 f250 threw the code around 41k I reseted the code, I experienced no decrease on performance or drivability. Then after 300+- miles it came back. The truck is stock other than a S&B cold air intake. The aftermarket intake has been installed for the last 25k miles trouble free until now. Anyone else having similar issues? Iím passed warranty period so before I go to the dealer I wanted to inquire if anyone had similar experience and had found a likely cause.
Thank you!

pretty sure your diesel has 5 year 100k warranty, swing into your local stealership and enjoy some crummy coffee while they fumble over the DTC and claim its due to your aftermarket parts.

Good afternoon everyone, sorry for my late response. Wow stuck EGR valve with only 41k miles! I think I may have to plan for regular cleaning of the carbon buildup on that system.

I wish Teddy! But in CA if I get busted with a deleted truck, I could face a $12,500 Federal fine and even jail time if the local authorities decide to make an example. Believe me, I wish I could delete!!

Someone really needs to design a quick connect system to quickly remove/install the DPF/SCR systems for the owners that live in states with emissions laws. The government would probably make them illegal too.

I live in Cali as well and see all the deleted trucks. I’ve also seen them pulled over and I can only imagine the conversation that is being had. Cali is the last place I would touch emissions. Not to mention every two years having to put it all back on for smog.
