Pulled the trigger....what’s the scoop?

So o finally pulled the trigger on a 2019 f350 cc 4x4 xl with stx package. It’s being built for me so I get all the goodies I want. Anywho, what’s the scoop on the 6.7? I currently have a 6.0 so I’m ready for anything.

So far I’ve read that the fuel filter can piss out the top, update intercooler pipe. What else?

Oh and will be tranny pan come with a drain plug like my 2004 6.0?

I too moved from a 2004 6.0 to a 2017 6.7 and have NEVER looked back. I'm bone stock and going to remain that way. Everything just flat out works....no issues for me whatsoever. The power difference between the 6.0 and 6.7 is remarkable and makes our 5er hauling so pleasant. Hence why I have no need for mods, etc.

I really liked my 6.0....truly did. But found myself working on it all the time sinking money into it left and right. And despite meticulous maintenance, service and prayer it let me down several times while hundreds of miles away from home. Trading it for the 6.7 was a happy day for me.

Congrats and good luck with the new rig. Once it comes in, post some pics.

By built with goodies you mean like aftermarket stuff? I only ask cause If you meant you ordered a truck from ford built to your spec, then your not getting a 19. Order banks are 20s

Pull apart all the connectors under the box of the truck and add dielectric grease. That is a must for these trucks. This little task will save you headaches and dealer visits down the road. Even pull off the connector on the back of the 7pin harness and add grease to that one too.

I have over 42,000 miles on mine. No mechanical issues at all. Never read anything about the fuel filter or IC pipe. Truck is a beast.

Don’t want the 2020 with a 18 speed tranny, 6 gears is enough for me

Sounds a little like my story when I moved up to a 2016 from my 97. I absolutely love my new-to-me 2016. More power than I can ever use. And I'm no longer putting my mechanic's kids through college or paying for their weddings (which is what I felt like I was doing with the old 7.3 and all the stuff that was wearing out on the truck).

Having said all this, it was heartbreaking to watch the old truck drive away from our house . . . . I had it for 20 years!

Agreed on the reasons not to want a 20 but I bet you got one. I put in an order for a 18 F450 on 27 March 2018 and my 19 F450 showed up 29 August. Dealers are idiots with incorrect info. But it seems every year the cutoff dates change a bit and I found out the 450 custom build lines only run a few times each year. A 450 takes 2-3 times as long for an order.

You can probably just google the order cutoff or call ford corporate.

That being said it’s pretty standard for new Models to show in September so that math seems unlikely dude. They have to retool the assembly line for the changes. You will have a very early production run 20. Good luck with that new Tranny!
