If a 20 shows up, I’ll be like. Keep it. I have a signed contract for a 19.

Well either way your good, id keep the 20 too. I had a signed contract for an 18 when my 19 showed up so the first thing I did was thrown that down on table and say the price will stand, they respected the previous agreed price so that worked good. I wonder if they are keeping one plant producing 19s and setting up the other for 20s. My truck was in the first run of 19s And shipped from production plant on 15 Aug so they must be getting close to shipping 20s out.

Keep us informed. I ordered mine minus the frills too. The rubber floor is really cool

19 F450

Iíve owned previous vehicles but I wonít waste the forum space to list them, oh ya, and you donít care

I'm so stubborn that i will flat out not take a 2020, even if they drop the price for me. I dealt with five dealerships and they all said that I can still get my 2019 built if I order by the dead line. If a 2020 shows up I'll refuse taking it because i will not be another ginnie pig for ford like I was with my current 2004 6.0. F THAT!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll keep driving my bought and paid for 04 until the new 10 speed and 6.7 has about 2 years under its belt.

I'm so stubborn, its not even funny.

i have to think that build sheet from ford has some meaning. One very reputable dealership in the Twin cities, MN (Boyer Ford) assured me that I can still get a 2019.

PS - I'll never buy a truck off the lot anymore. Creating your own build sheet and submitting to 5 or 6 dealers is the way to go. They all bid against eachother and in the end you get a really good deal for EXACTLY the truck you want. Not some salesmens build.

FWIW, the 10 speed trans is not really "new" technology. They've had the ten speed in half tons for years and they've done pretty well. I'm sure this is just a newer, updated and upgraded version of what they've already pretty much proven. Also, I'd bet there's not 10 separate "gears" in the trans. Probably just 6, maybe even only 5. If it's what I think it is, they just stack the OD gears (there's probably 2 of them like the 6R140, maybe three) with the other forward gears to make the various ratios. Personally, I'd be more worried about the steel pistons. That's just extra weight being jerked back a forth every round. On the exhaust stroke, that thing is gonna want to leave the cylinder even more than the aluminum ones do. That said, I'm not really worried about that either.

Tell you what @scha0786 , if they deliver you a 2020, I'll trade you even for my 2017 and we'll swap the carpets out for the rubber mats.

Loved that last line.

I had rubber flooring in my old 83 F-250. When we got back from cruising the Black Rock Desert (long before Burning Man!) I'd just open both doors and hose it out. Nice . . .

My dad used to do that to all his trucks with rubber floors. He’d let me help and that’s one reason why I want no carpet!
