Access to behind the console

So I had 2 new credit card in an envelope laying on top of the sliding door on the console and yep they manage to slide through that Gap between the door and the bottom of the radio and disappear behind the console. Any one had this happen?

Yes poor design by Ford. Do a Internet search, its been discussed before and I cant remember if it was here or at a different truck forum. I remember reading its a PITA to retrieve.

Probably best just to report them lost/stolen and let the cc company mail you replacements.

Had this happen...EASY fix...same on Expedition and F-150s...open the armrest cover, firmly grab the corners of the shifter cover/cupholder/etc where the trim would just end under the armrest cover and pull up...the front edge goes under the dash / climate control area kind of like a hinge. I found all KINDS of stuff my wife and kids dropped back there by placing it on top of the sliding door. I put a short piece of foam weatherstrip under the lower edge of the dash to stop this when re-installing. Lord knows my wife and kids won't stop putting stuff up there...
