Motorcraft Oil in 2018 6.7l

Just had first oil change done at 3,250 miles. The dealership put in Motorcrsft 10/30 synthetic blend. Is this oil okay or should I use something else going forward? Has anyone used Motorcraft oil and drove a lot of miles without issue?

That is the recommended oil for your truck for normal usage.

I would continue to let Ford service my truck while under warranty, so if anything goes wrong they can't blame me for it not being maintained correctly. I have 2 7.3L's and they Love the Rotella T6 oil, the key for a happy diesel is clean oil, and fuel. Since you have all that emissions junk drive the truck hard every now and then too help keep the exhaust cleaned out, that is what a Ford tech told my buddy after having a exhaust problem, drive it like you stole it.

I used it for the first two oil changes. No problems and you can look at my Blackstone reports for comfort.

I do not think that motorcraft sells a 10W30 synthetic blend diesel oil. They only make a synthetic blend 10W-30 gas oil.

Did your oil minder tell you to change oil? Seems earlier than most. I have 3200 now and bought T6 to do the oil change but wondering when I should. Was thinking 5 k but probably do at 3500

I just assumed it was a blend. The dealership did the oil change.
