Looking good. Can't wait to see how it turns out. I wish the amp steps on these new body style trucks would tuck like the steps tucked on our 05-07 trucks.

They fold up pretty tight on body line and look good but ya I agree tucking away was better. Google how they look on chebys though with the huge DEF tank outside the frame, they don’t even retract they just pivot/turn up. Looks rediculous.

If you get rid of the tumor and use 1500 steps there is no gap.

Got as far as I time allowed yesterday. Got front end mostly done, still waiting on fox 2.5 DSC shocks and a pitman arm. Got front bumper on and fully wired with lights and winch. Started the install of front locker, got the oem unit out but had to call it a night. Wonít have time to work on it next few days, stupid work! Until then, few pics. I swear the last time I did this 15 years ago I did it all in a day. Either my memory is off or my age is catching up to me.

I don’t do Glamis anymore as LEO/BLM have taken the fun out of it, plus it’s a haul from Vegas. Will be in Dumont for Halloween, but tow trailer into MTs if Utah for hunting season prior, can’t wait.

I haven't been there in about 10 years. I'll need to check up on the whole LEO/BLM changes. I'm anxious to hear about how it tows compared to your 6l. Stability will be a given, but the rest I'm curious about.

I want to make the jump to a F450, but heard rumors of the 10 speed trans coming out for possibly 2020. Im not in a rush so I'm going to hold out and see.

I’ve towed my trailer many times with my buddies 2011 F350 DRW so I am familiar with the 6.7. It towed a bit better stock than my 6.0 with $10k+ mods so I expect the same, not a huge performance leap but a huge leap in reliability. And I went with the F450 for one reason, the brakes. My 06 was less than capable of slowing my setup so trailer brakes did most the work. And the stability reasons. I shredded a rear tire in an instant on fwy at 70mph on my 06 it it brought to light I needed a DRW.
