This morning perusing another 'post', I learned from Hawk388 that their are two settings for the Diesel Exhaust Brake (227 in the manual).

Manual and Automatic
I have towed extensively in my 2017 and could not get the exhaust brake to hold on downhills UNLESS I held the cc button de-accelerate button down until I hit my desired downhill speed, then the vehicle would hold that speed. I was unhappy with having to do this each time... and now I find out, I may have been using the wrong EB setting...

good to know..
Hawk388 likes this.

Unbelievable...manual states double press TC button results in 'electronic stability control has reduced sensitivity' and 'traction control has reduced sensitivity compared to fully active system'...

I googled the Advance Trac Sport mode. Information is mostly posts of 'seat of the pants' feel indicating different shift points and being able 'to hang out the rear end' more prior to traction control engaging... no real data

4 modes
Traction Control on
Traction Control off
Advance Trac Sport Mode

Agreed. I am perplexed why you would want a mode where you start slinging around 8K lbs around like a sports car. It's a truck.

2018 F-250 Lariat Ultimate Stock for now
