Sunroof issues?

I ordered an 18 and it may likely be too late to change the order but I wanted some feedback on the dual glass roof. If you google it multiple issues of sequeks and leaks come up for the 150s, but as we know that’s how online reviews work, and hopefully they small minority. I ordered my truck pretty much without any frills but a sunroof was an option allowed without adding a package so only $1k addition. Figured it looked neat and help Truck retain value. However my 06 I had for 12 years didn’t have one so it was not a necessity. Wondering how they working for 17+ SD owners? Squeak, leaks, regrets?

Thank you for your feedback.

I like mine. Personally it has not leaked. The only issue I have had is one of the arms have broken but it is covered under warranty.

Seems like a majority of the issues come from the drain tubes not being installed correctly from the factory? Mine and a buddy also had this issue with job 1 2017 powerstroke. I have an 18 on order and chose to opt out of a sunroof for this issue.

Early on there were issues of it raining in the cab through the upfitter switches. Most if not all of that was poor drain touting as well as the clearance lights leaking.

I have one. I donít know if i would do it again but it hasnít been a problem. If you screw up and leave the cover open in the south MIssissippi sub itís hotter than your oven inside the truck. With the cover closed itís not any different than a non sunroof truck.

The only time I open mine is for my little girl to stand on the console and look out.

I've got one on my 2017 and it's opened at least once a week in cold weather, all the time unless it's a hot, muggy day here in Florida. Haven't had any issues out of mine and I regularly go through the touch-less car wash which is pretty high pressure water.

We cannot live on .45 ACP alone. There's .22, .223, 5.56, 9mm, .380, 7.62, 10mm, I could go on....

Like many before I had one on my F150 and now on the F250 and have had not one single issue. Typically people who haven't had any problems don't voice it online. With as many as there are out there there are only a handful or so that have some sort of problem. It is an awesome option. Enjoy it!

The sunroof was one of the the things that swayed me to the truck. Mine is an 2018 so I read the same stories and figured it was sorted out be 2018 models. It is great. I usually leave mine closed with the shade open. Makes the truck feel bigger and lighter inside. You will be fine.

Bingo!

Keep in mind OP that if you search the internet, you are going to find more negative than positive. Very seldom do people post to say something is good but rather they post to complain. So if you want it, get it. And should there be, in the unlikely event, an issue, Ford will make it right.

I love mine not so much for the air flow but for what @auburnalum states.
