I have scrolled thru the 2017 section and learned that there is a regen screen available. I have an xlt so is on theses as well or only on other models?

To do a manual Regen?

I know I won’t be able to do a manual regen since it wasn’t ordered that way. I mean the display screen that tells the percentage level.

Its called Operator Commanded Regeneration. It has to be turned on by the dealer. The 2017s do not come standard with it activated. You have to ask the dealer to turn it on. Some dealers do not know what it is. Check out my video on youtube. I had my dealer turn on the OCR option when I bought the truck. But truck did an OCR regen today.

At the end once the OCR regen is completed I show the screen that shows if you have it turned on or not.

Is the OCR something you can initiate at any time or does the DPF have to be full for a little while and the truck ask you if you want to do an OCR? I asked the dealer to turn on the DPF % screen which they did. I also asked them to enable the OCR and they weren’t too sure if it was enabled. They said they enabled everything they could. On the truck screen on the dash the DPF % screen is there but there is no screen with the option to start an OCR. How exactly do you initiate it?

So the screen not only will tell me the dpf filter % but will make it a manual choice as well? The local dealer told me they no, then I showed them some posts and screen shots and he went to the back and came back later and said yeah 40 minutes and $100. I laughed and went and found the salesman who sold me the truck and he said he would take care of it. I just figured I could get the % level and the ocr was a different set up. Also will it matter being an xlt, I don’t see why but wouldn’t be surprised.

I was under the impression it was two separate things.

@powerstroke1701 is OCR the first option on you settings screen? Is the auto regen in the attached what you go to to initiate it?

The DPF have to be full for a little while and not go into an active regen. Then once you put the vehicle in Park it will ask you if you want to clean the exhaust, then just follow the prompts from there.

Yes if you can see the DPF status screen then the OCR is turned on.

There is no "OCR Screen" it will just ask you to clean the exhaust once in park.
