Family trips with 6?

Anyone on here do extended trips with a family of 6 (3 in front and 3 in back)? How do the kids do, especially the one who has to ride the jump seat? We’re thinking of getting a trailer and if we have another kid, someone will have to ride in front, which is not ideal obviously.

Recently took a trip from SC to VA with 6 people. No one complained about being uncomfortable. The person in the middle up front was about 4' 11" and 85-90 lbs. The only thing that made it a little awkward is that I have a manual transfer case. If you have 2wd or SOTF you should be fine.

Happy travels!

We are a Family of 6

My 8 and 10 year old fight over who is going to get to ride up front instead of in the back with their 13 and 15 year old brothers. I installed an overhead movie screen with wireless headsets for the rear passengers so that I do not have to listen to their movie. The front seat passenger gets to play on their electronic device or be my DJ. My radio also will play a movie separate of the rear DVD player, but I rarely do it anymore after the rear was installed.

We upgraded to a 5th wheel in 2018, from a bumper pull and now there is no chance of a third row conversion....

He drove it to a shop out in Utah or Colorado. Not sure of the name. But he told me the shop does work with the “Diesel Brothers”
