I would put it on there as soon as possible. Trust me, you don't want that bill without it. $11k - $13k isn't chump change.....for most of us

I hear you. Iím still gathering info on that Exergy metering valve. That may be what I end up doing. Pretty non-invasive and makes logical sense to me in theory. I need to talk with a couple more people before I do anything.

Personally, I would look to replace the lift pump too. Either with an AirDog or FASS. They will provide adequate fuel to the CP4 and eliminate the air bubbles which in turn helps with lubricity. Lack of lubrication is the cause for failure of the CP4. They're a little pricey but it's solid insurance considering

I used Diesel Kleen for a while and switched to the Motorcraft Diesel Additive recently. Truck runs best on the Motorcraft for sure.

I'm with @UR2EZ . Using a low pressure feed pump like the AirDog will add extra filtering, water removal, and air removal that can't hurt. Now just figure out what fuel additive you want to use.

I was using Diesel Kleen when my HPFP went out. Now I use Hot Shot Secret. Only time will tell but I did put an AirDog II 4g 165 on her as well; along with a ton of other upgrades since everything was ruined

I should also add that I do have a FASS Pump installed on my truck as well.
