Contaminated DEF

I started adding DEF and realized the jug was contaminated with biocide meant for the diesel tank. I havenít started the truck and assume I need to have the truck towed to the dealer and have the DEF tank flushed??? Any ideas? How bad is this mess-up?

Just drop the tank, dump it out. Put in fresh def, shake vigorously, dump and reinstall and fill.

I would drop the tank personally. A siphon is going to leave a lot in there. Drop, dump, rinse a couple times with distilled water (DEF is mostly water) and reinstall.

Ford workshop DVD says to drain the tank, siphon, into a container and dispose of it. Add fresh DEF to tank.

The procedure the dealer uses might be different since you added a pertoleum product to the tank.
