How? Did you do it? Or pay someone else that "should know what they're doing." If you didn't do it, it takes 10 seconds to crawl under and see if it's at the "click" spot, or even open it up and make sure the gasket is fine.
And I doubt it's your battery, your batteries are probably on their way out and that's why it's dimming.
