Oldie but a Newbie...

I'm a veteran forum guy from the lowly 6.0 side. Not too up on the 6.7, but I'm considering buying a 2015 Lariat with 24k miles on it. If I were shopping for a 6.0, I'd know exactly what to look for, but with a 6.7 IDK. I know they have the reputation of being pretty great right out of the box, but are there any specific things that I should check out before I decide on a purchase?

Here's the truck I'm looking at:
https://www.allenturnerchevrolet.com...03183923#promo

I'm a little concerned that it hasn't sold yet. The salesman said it had been on the lot for over 100 days. I'm wondering if there is something I'm missing that others have seen.

Not many issues with the >15 MY PSD. That is a competitive price for the mileage. Have you physically been able to look at it and drive it?

I have driven it. The only thing I noticed was a very slight shake or bounce but it seemed to clear up the more I drove it. I figured the tires may have been a little flat spotted from sitting, but it could have also just been the road. It does have Toyo OC A/T's on it. I wouldn't think those would have been OEM tires and they seem a little worn for only 24k miles, so it's possible the PO put some takeoffs on it before trading it. The truck had good power. Not quite what my 6.0 has with SPD on it, but not that far from it. Then again as quiet and smooth as it is, maybe it had more. The boost gauge came up when accelerating, so I'd assume that much is in good shape. I'm not sure what options were available on the Lariat in 2015, but I cannot imagine there are many missing, except the roof marker lights.

I would purchase it based on the info presented, but, I would see if there is any wiggle room in the price. I purchased my 2015 PSD, KR Long bed for 48K with 21,000 miles. With them having it so long I bet they will either add some goodies, ESP or come down off the price.

Seems like a good price for the miles on it. Only thing I would check, is look at the secondary fuel filter. If it has 3 nipples on it I would be weary of it, though not the worst thing.

If they've been changed, should look like this.

If it matters, it's a 05/19/2015 build date. Ford Etis shows no outstanding Field Service Actions. The Etis report is attached.

The only "cons" I've seen so far (other than me affording it) is the lack of the marker lights, the 3.55 ratio axles and no block heater (not a biggie in FL).

I assume that the rear axle is LS. It doesn't really say in the report, just says "Less Elect Locking Differential". There's a button below the 4WD switch that I thought was diff lock, but I guess not. It's in the attached pic (blurry as it is). What is it?

The 4x4 knob pulls out for the diffl-ock, which it looks like the truck has.

That button down below is for the exhaust brake.

Also, 3.55 gears are nothing to worry about. The truck will pull anything you want while getting you some decent MPG...

OK, thanks for the info. To show my ignorance, what is the problem with 3 nipples over 2? ( @Heavy_GD needs a new sig quote. You're welcome.) I assume there's an update to the 2 nipple setup? Where does the third line go? How much does it cost?

So the 3rd line is strictly for AT THE PLANT use only. Believe it was for purging the air out of the system before the trucks were started. You can't buy those filters, when you buy a kit to change them, all will be like the 2nd photo. And yea, I have 3.55's ELD, and don't worry, you'll still be able to blow the tires off in 4th gear. I get about 19mpg around town.
