Need answers!

Ok! I'm constantly seeing people deleting and tuning their brand new Powerstrokes. I have a 2016 and cant justify throwing out my warranty. For those of you that deleted your new truck, how did you justify it? Serious question. I guess basically I'd really like to be talked into it!

I justified it by only having factory motor warranty left and the DEF tank heater going out. Basically told the boss, I'm not going to pay to have a part put back in when it's going to more then likely fail again since this one only made it 86k miles. She wasn't happy, but understood the point I was tying to make. So, got in touch with the guys at No Limit ordered what I needed and paid close to what I've seen other people either paying or quoted to get DEF Tank Heater replaced.

The dealers around here (Ford, Ram, Chevy) allow one shop here to do these mods and still have warranty. Mine goes in this week, at their suggestion, after replacing a NOX Controller for the second time....I?m at 65k miles.

I would not delete until warranty has expired.
My truck is over 200k so it didn't matter.

Deleted mine at 57K when the DEF heater went out and the dealership told me it wouldn't cover the repair, since my truck was modified (1" lift)

It was cheaper to delete it myself than to repair the heater.

That's terrible - I would have flipped when they said that.

I wasn't about to be left on the side of the road over some emissions stuff with a 0% margin to help me get home. I got the itch when Ford had the brilliant idea that when your EGT sensors went out on the DPF the truck just shut down. I said....not this guy. I've never been happier with peace of mind over my choice.

I've had this for about a year now with around 36k on it. Tempting to just delete it. I cringe everytime it goes into regen. Plus, I can't wait to see how this thing runs with a proper tune on it, it's already faster than my 6.0 was tuned. What should i expect mpg wise? I average 16 right now.
