It just clips on to the dash and has some double sided tape on the bottom lip to hold in place. I just got it but I really like it so far. It is adjustable for different sized phones and once secured it holds the phone firmly in place and within easy reach.

Blue got her first deer last night.
Looks like that front bumper replacement just moved from the wishlist to the immediate purchase list. Thankfully she hit low and only the bumper was damaged.

You hit that deer pretty good.

Last deer I hit its rack went through the trans cooler and the ac condensor on my old rig. A new transmission later....

fun times in the hill country

New front Bodyguard bumper has been ordered from bumpersuperstore.com. Just finished installation and setup on the Ford perimeter alarm upgrade with Ford Remote Access. Bought it on EBay from Keith White Ford. Very easy installation and their tech had the system working in no time.

Can you explain more about adding the Ford perimeter alarm upgrade? I was thinking of doing the same. What did you have to purchase and what were the steps to make it work?

I bought the 2011-2016 Ford Superduty smart phone remote start and perimeter alarm upgrade kit from Keith White Ford on EBay for $289.00. The kit includes everything you need except the LED alarm indicator light if you choose to add one. I bought the light from Keith White Ford off EBay as well. The kit works great and sends a text/email if the alarm is triggered. The install is very easy. Just unbolt the OBDII port from the bottom of the dash and plug in the y harness provided in the kit. Then plug bolt the OBDII port on the harness back to the original location. Plug the harness into the sensor and zip tie the wires and vibration sensor to the main wire harness under the dash. For the smart phone remote start, you take off the drivers side kick plate and zip tie the module to the a/c duct and reinstall the kick plate and feed the wire down to the vibration sensor and plug it in. Tuck all the wires up and zip tie them out of the way. Unlock the doors. Cycle the ignition key on and off 8 times without starting the truck. On the 8th time end with the ignition in the on position. The doors will lock and unlock. The truck will the be in update mode. After 20 seconds the locks will lock and unlock again signaling the update mode has ended. The alarm should now be active. You can test the alarm by locking the truck with the key fob and waiting 20 seconds until the alarm sets. The hit the steering wheel with your fist. The alarm should sound. You can then adjust the alarm via the dial on the sensor. To activate the cell phone remote start you have to log on to the ford remote access website and set up an account. Then call the dealership and have a technician enter your vin # and sim code provided in the kit. Once he has that he can test the system and provide a PIN number. Use the PIN number to complete the setup on the account and download the smart phone app from iTunes or whatever app android phones use. Log in and you should be good to go. It is really very simple and should only take 10-30 minutes to complete. The only thing I am not happy with is the indicator light I bought that shows when the alarm is set. It works fine but it is not very bright.

Thank you for this, including taking the time to type it all in.
