So, based on your information, as I *now* understand it, the "bumper-to-bumper" warranty is 3yr/36k and that covers just about anything going wrong. After that expires, I'm down to the engine-only (or does that include engine and drivetrain?) warranty that goes for 100k/5yr.

Since I bought this from a non-Ford dealer (used-car), some of my information is incomplete. When I have some time, I shall pop into my local Ford dealer and see if they can fill in some of the blanks.

3yr/36k bumper to bumper
5yr/60k transmission (drivetrain)
5yr/60k safety restraint
5yr/100k engine

The truck will have close to 13 dtc codes but the truck wont go into limp mode but as soon as a sensor fails for the dpf the truck will go into idle only and the computer will put the wrench light on the dash. On my 2011 my egr valve failed at 200,000mi so i ripped the egr and the cooler off then drove it for 8 months until the urea pump failed and clogged the dpf from it not being able to go into regen mode. But as soon as the first dpf pressure sensor reached its voltage limit the truck shut off and went into idle only mode.

2011 F-350 srw, d****** with custom ccs tunes (x3,no pilot injection,no preliminary torque managment, vgt off @ idle) Sounds and smokes like a 7.3 but just way faster.

I believe that the EGR is covered under the 8yr/80,0000 emissions warranty. I have my egr cooler replaced (CEL code P0401) at about 2 weeks after my 5yr warranty ran out.
