FORScan App

Just wondering who is using the FORScan App and if you like it or if you prefer another App for monitoring and diagnostics?

Anyone know if FORScan can display EGT's?

It's a well designed app that monitors 100s of PIDS in real time with quick response.

I highly recommend it

Very Cool! I need to buy a tablet just for the truck

Why are there several different EGT counters? What is the highest EGT's you see while towing? In my old truck I was always just monitoring one EGT probe.

Yes, the only thing the CTS2 has over this is that you can do a manual regen when parked. This app has literally hundreds of PIDS you can monitor, FAR more then the CTS2 can do.

As long as the OBDII port is free, yes you can use it.

Because there are 4 EGT sensors on the truck. 1 and 2 are before the DPF, 3 and 4 are after it.

Towing my 13k 5th wheel, I'm in the 850-950 range, far less then when in a regen which I see EGT3 run in the mid 1,100s.

That's what I did, I bought a Samsung 8" tablet specifically for my truck so I can monitor up to about 20 things on the screen at once. Spend $150 on a tablet (best buy has several $70-$99 tablets) and $20 dongle plus $5 for the app and you are not even at 50% of the cost of a CTS2 with far more ability.
