Hey gang, just under my truck the other day and saw that all my body mounts are shot! After doing some research I found out that this is a common problem with OEM mounts.
My questions is: what aftermarket brand has everyone had the best success with?
I hear Dorman are good and to stay away from Daystar. Thoughts? How about S&B body mounts? Anyone try them?
Thanks Everyone!
those S&B are what i will try and the included hardware is a plus
i have seen one post about someone who tried them and was pleased I have seen a lot of post about the other options other than OEM and they complain about the size variance vs OEM in many of those post
I too was looking at the S&B but have also been looking at Dorman. A complete set of the Dorman w/hardware are $300 less then a set of S&B. Just curious if the extra $300 is worth it.
Hey Hydro! Same here when I saw that price for the S&B. I was curious too if the silicone rubber will hold up better than just plain rubber. The OE ones are urethane which we all know are crap.
When I get around to doing cab bushings it'll be the S&B bushings
The popping and groaning from the cab pulling into my driveway is really starting to make my eye twitch
Has anyone had Ford replace them under warranty? My truck is at the dealer now. I have the Ford extended warranty. I'm hopping they cover it, if not I'll do it myself and us the S&B for sure.
I bought the daystar kit for my truck. The bushings are smaller in diameter but seem to be pretty solid. I’ve had them on for about a year so far and they seem to be holding up so far.
I have a 33’ camper that weights about 9000lbs that I pull with it. The body mounts don’t make any noise. I do get some noise from the suspension though but that’s it. May want to tighten them down more if your getting noise from them.
