Yup. Only real options is to see if some way to trick the ait2 sensor to prevent an EGR low flow CEL or reinstall and EGR cooler.

That is true with the 2006 model truck. The insufficient flow will throw a wrench light. You have two options:
(1) Install a BPD EGR cooler
(2) Register your truck in a county that's not in smog program.

Your up North there has to be a county to the east of you that doesn't participate in the smog program. Look up the DMV website and check your area. I reside in the Elk Grove area but am living in the mountains according to my drivers license. Truck of coarse lives with me lol. The majority of the state as far as square miles is not involved with the smog program. If you have friends or family out of smog counties move your registration there.
Look over the map online. May be easier than you think.

Well I turned it back to stock and by time I got home tonight the P1000 code was gone. So from my understanding, all the readiness checks are complete and I have no other codes. I guess I'll have to run it back by before it throws a lack of flow code lol

Move out to Ohio, no emissions testing here whatsoever. Our state just dumps salt all over every drivable surface so by the time you get your vehicle paid off its rusting apart....

We also still have our guns and good old lead ammo to keep the Libtards at bay.

Minnesota is another option...
Cost of living is 10x lower and even for a libtard state, we still have our rights....

A lot of these shops are getting smart too. A few years ago when I smogged it was still just the visual inspection, the jack wagon tried to fail me for my bypass oil and coolant filters because they weren't "factory" and I had to repeatedly explain to him that there is nothing that says I can't install extra filtration, especially considering they have absolutely nothing to do with the emissions system...except that I won't have to replace a ruptured EGR cooler because it got plugged up. Last time I smogged was in November and was the first I knew of them hooking up the computer. During the snap test there was a fair cloud of soot under the truck (downpipe into the cat, then only about 3" of pipe behind the cat) and he was looking in the mirrors for the smoke. When he was done he waved me over and said "nice trick having nothing behind the catalytic converter to let me see the smoke, bet it makes it easy to swap out your straight pipe" "whatever do you mean?" "You're not as sly as you think, I can see where the clear coat is stained on your fender, just like I bet that is just a polished 'stock' turbocharger under there isn't it" "of course" "your truck passes because I can't fail you based on speculation of how you run it when it isn't smog day, but just know, there are some jerks that would fail you instantly for that aftermarket turbo since Garrett does not have an CARB E.O. number for the Powermax" "I'll be seeing you next time"

I love the state of CA, amazing scenery, so much to do, but can't stand the STATE of CA. Unfortunately being military, I don't have a choice for a while...or maybe I do. If these clowns actually follow through with seceding, then we're gone, they can't actually be stupid enough to think that the government is going to keep military here when CA clearly wants nothing to do with the U.S. They'll be left high and dry, no military, no gun owner is gonna wanna stay so there goes any thought of a militia, they'll be screwed...When do I start packing? Lol
