Um...this is horrible advice for most American vehicle platforms.....Dot4 (usually a synthetic fluid) can and will foam under ABS panic conditions resulting in LOSS of all braking capability's. It also will eat away at the seals in the system. There is a reason DOT 3 is specified and required in these. Be EXTREMELY careful with which fluid you are using and make sure it is compatible with the system it is being put in.

Not sure if this applies to all of the 6.0 model years, but mine says to use DOT 3. I've been using, for years, Valvoline Dot 3/4 fluid with no issues. This allows me to use the same brake fluid in all my vehicles.

Interesting on the brake master cylinder. I will have to watch mine. Had a left rear stuck this past summer, replaced with a NAPA reman. It stuck again a few weeks ago. I greased it up with the Permatex purple as the slides seemed alittle dry (not rusty). Seems better now. Time for an all around brake job though!.
