Asheville engine rebuilders

Anyone have one in their truck? I was/am looking for a 7.3 excursion but came across a 6.0 ad that has an engine from Asheville. Do a search and their isn't much other than their own website. Their Facebook page is essentially dead. Everything looks great but not a lot of real life testimonials. I got burnt by my 04 6.0 and am hesitant even if the bugs have been worked out with the rebuilt motor. The 6.0 definitely has more pep than the 7.3 but history has me second guessing even looking or asking about this.
I have done a search here no one has any experience with them.
Any experience is appreciated.

Black Water engines is one I've seen haven't had to progress down that path yet but some people will chip in with what all options you have. I remember from a while ago a guy had an issue with Asheville but I stopped following it before it came to an end.

I bought a short block from them last fall and haven't had a single complaint about it I got it bored .030 over with a stg 2 cam. Matt and Ron were great to deal with and answered all my questions. It was shipped with in a day or so of payment and I was late getting my core back but they honored it without question. I also got a full gasket set and arps through them. I would buy from them again, 100%, ....... if I had too. I'm Pretty sure they do a 7.3L as well. If I can answer any questions for you let me know.

Seems like it would have been premature to ask for a long-term update before now?

I windowed the block in less than 5k miles, I had 250/150 injectors (nozzle to big, I know) and a 72sxe on it. I raced the truck maybe 10 passes. Wrist pin let go when driving on the street. No warranty bc it was raced. Iíve had much better luck with my $200 junkyard short block with 330/150ís and a 76/87/1.0

I didnt look at that, should have & I will going forward. Was on here trying to research what company most of the forum users have been using & trying to find out who appears to be the best. Not wanting to purchase my motor a second time.

Kill devil seems to be the way to go these days. I have not run one but Jared really seems to be on top of the game right now.
