Haha funny you say that.. I'm actually looking up newer explorers for her right now to help convince her to let me keep mine. She doesn't want a truck, wants to keep the SUV. I can't afford to do the 6.7l if I get rid of hers..

Sounds like ya got a good truck already, even with putting additional moneys to bulletproof it you'd still be way ahead of buying newer.

This is good if your buying though. Got mine for near 6000 under kbb.

That truck would go for 17k all day long around here.. Price it like that and be patient on the sale ... I would not sell it though, sounds like you have a wonderful truck and I guarentee you your current truck will outlast that 6.7... I would never buy a 6.7, as mentioned they are eggshell bottom ends. They dont blow egr coolers but they instead ruin bottom ends having to do an engine overhaul- sounds like a great truck to me!

Yes I honestly would keep the 6.0. The 6.7 is made from egg shells and they seem to be coming apart at around 70k. I wouldn't give up my 6.0 for a 6.7 King Ranch if they offered an even swap.

RIP Mitch

I test drove them all, liked the A/C seats on the 6.7s and the exterior on the FX4 6.4s but wound up with my 6.0. Put the rest of my money back in the bank and have been very happy. Just did studs so she ought to treat me right for a long time now. I just had a hard time paying north of 30k for a truck. Being a cash guy it was bad enough handing over the fat stack for my 6.0. At least I don't cringe when I throw something in the bed of mine. It's in great shape but I've already got that ding out of the way by the previous owner.

The connecting rods are really weak. The 6.0 bottom end is stronger than the 6.4 or the 6.7.
