Motorcraft/Racor AND FLEETGUARD. With Pictures.

For the ones that do not know, the Fleetguar oil filter is the exact same as the Racor/Motorcraft.

I got it for ~$13.68 from TruckHelp.com.

Fleetguard LF16166 Oil Filter

Which one is which? Racor or Fleetguard?

So, for the ones that didnt know, we have 3 OEM options for oil filters.

Good find but actually Fram is also selling a rebranded Racor as well so we have 4 options.

RIP Mitch

Picture of new "Fram filter" for 6.0L.

Oil Filter Info - Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums

I need to run to the store. Maybe I'll drop by WalMart and see what they have on the shelf here.

You have to really look carefully. I have seen both filters in 2 different WM in 2 difference states. I have also seen a guy with a Fram box and Motorcraft box and swap the filters inside. I guess to save a buck and screw the next guy. Again you just have to check. I also did see the difference with the Fram TG filter. DFO has MC for $17.36 as well as Racor for $13.95, as well as a Mann-Filter made by Racor for $7.29 which says it is for the 6.0 but I can NOT attest to proper fit.

I just got back from Walmart. Same as the pictures in the thread I posted.

I did take photos, but heck they would be redundant.

I while back I decided to order the MANN filter just to see what they were like. Heck, $7 why not.

Note the "ball check valve"?
