10 year prediction for diesels?

What do you guys see in a time line for diesels in the next 10 years?

emissions, technology, and year exemptions.

I see the hp/torque rating staying close to where they are. I mean if you need more than 850 lb-ft of torque, you need a big rig. I see the big 3 continuing to work on the efficiency of the engines but focusing more on the trucks themselves and less on the engines. I can't even predict what bull **** hoops the EPA will make them jump through next.

More common in light utility. F150/1500. More common in cars if the US will get over the bad thoughts of what diesel cars were in the 80s.

currently driving a 335i bmw, no more powerstoke

Since emissions got really big in 2003 I see diesels before that getting exempt. Comercial diesels exemption year is changing every second...

I predict in 10 years, diesels from now are going to be very hard to find because no one wants to sell them because the emissions will be so much stricter
