I had *massive* stiction in my injectors before I did all the work I did a few weeks ago. When buttoning everything up I used Rotella T6, instead of T4, and I added Rev-X Stiction Modifier to the Oil.

Question: Is it possible that the #7 Injector going south on me is crap dislodging due to the Rev-X? If so, might driving it for a little bit clear it up? Or will I likely do more harm then good from driving it?

I did a Forscan KOEO Injector Test a little while ago and #7 is very faint.

Hpop blew up 2 weeks ago so I tore into it last weekend. Some d bag must have pulled it and inspected it along the line somewhere and didn’t seat the snap ring on the hpop all the way......
I payed a shop to do headgaskets studs oil/egr cooler and y pipe when I bought It. Found out they prolly screwed me cause I think it was just a bad oil cooler....

Anyway I put a cncfab stage 2 hpop in the ol 6literbeater along with a ipr egr delete and am in the process of doing the coolant filter and oil cooler relocation. Soo much fun. Should be all back together tomorrow.....well hopefully.

Put in a BD Diesel low fuel pressure warning today. Nice kit for a whole lot of piece of mind. Also installed some new LED headlights.

I unhooked and removed the Edge CTS2 so I could use it to test drive an '05 Excursion with 123K on the clock. I was really hoping this would be the one. Took it out for a test drive and the 1st thing I decided was the 4" lift and mud tires were more than I was going to be able to tolerate. I parked the truck in the local strip mall parking lot and rolled up under it. All good there was just a little light surface rust. I hooked up the Edge and up I81 I went. While cruising 70 on flat highway I saw 219 on EOT while the ECT was reading 187. Got back to dealership and popped the hood. No pressure to speak of on the Degas cap but Gold coolant. The finial straw was in the form of a Banks Six Gun plugged in. Yep those things pretty much killed the deal for me. I told the salesman I wasn't ready to spend that kind of money and hold my breath getting the truck 123 miles home and then take it to Tyler and spend several Thousand $ right off the bat. Oh well! Thanks to everyone here who has shared his or her knowledge and experience I didn't make a big mistake. The search continues.

@kcoyner is that the 1 in hagerstown? If it is I've been watching it on the internet and from what you said that would explain why the price keeps dropping. Thanks You probably just saved me a 260 mile round trip.

That's it man. They've been after me for about a month to come and drive it. Well, I did. 240+ miles round trip for me. Save yourself the trouble and fuel. They begged me to sit down and talk price. I told the salesman that I would be lucky to get it to the shop and then I'd be looking at $3 to 5K out of pocket before I'd be able to drive it. I think they lowered the price another $500 yesterday. I'll let you know if I hear back from them.

The 6literbeater is alive again. Back on the road with new stage 2 cnc fab hpop which I recommend. Corey spent 20 minutes to a half hour explaining how the stage 2 is different from the stage 1. Who does this and that ect. He’s a good dude. I also did some searching on the .org and didn’t hear as much about cnc fab as another hpop company like adrenaline but everything I did hear was good so I figured I’d give them a call. And kc gets their stuff from them too and I like giving them business
Ipr update- screen o rings ect nothing crazy
Re ran icp pigtail.(did it the right way this time..... shrink wrap and flex tubing
Ipr gen 3 egr delete
Ipr oil cooler relocation
Ipr coolant filter
Oil change-15w40 only cause I had 2.5 gallons left from the last one

40 miles on it soo far and nothing outside of blowing a coolant hose that I forgot to put the clamp back on

Hopefully the final update for a long long time. Mechanic called yesterday and said the truck was running fine now on the original PCM. However they reprogramed the spare I brought them so that it would work as well and I could keep it for a working spare. This morning when he went to pull it out of the shop and it didn't even want to start and then it would only idle with this original ECM. So they put the spare in and it now seems to run just fine. Wife and brother picked it up and had no issues. On the bright side their initial quote of $3,500 with a brand new PCM was reduced to a mere 1800. So I actually will have some money left over to buy the wifey a Christmas present
