Good question since it's been Ford's policy to eyeball em with a straightedge and put em back on. FWIW that hasn't been a winning strategy.

Cleaned the whole truck like a madman. Looks like brand new. Very rewarding to drive a clean clean truck. And redid the bedliner

Replaced my OEM radiator with an aluminum one from Performance Radiator. I broke the nipple that goes to the degas tank a couple of weeks ago and I just couldn't get it to stop leaking. The radiator isnt polished but for the price and it only being 45 mins away I figured I would give it a try. Changed the oil and filter and the rear diff fluid. It had water in it and looked bad. Been having a little occasional clunk at take off. Im not sure this is the answer but anyway thats a whole different section and post.

Lifted the cab on the mini-me. It's not a 6.0 but it does have "6" cylinders and "0" turbos (though a blower may be in its future). Just thought it was a little funny that I'd pull the little trucks cab when I pulled the engine on the 6.0. Then again the 6.0 didn't need transmission work too. Took about 4 hours in sweltering heat. Didn't think that was too bad for an old guy that hadn't pulled one of these before. Worst part was the two rear cab bolts. Had to have a helper for those.
