No there's not enough meat on the starter, just put a smaller bolt in it. I'm pretty sure it's the same size as the 6.0 top two bolts if I remember right.

The pump does run. Does the the solenoid, I think they call it pvh go bad very often? I was thinking about ordering one. If I do get one, should I get it from ford or is aftermarket ok?

I have a short in the harness between my 4x4cm and the switch...
i dont do wiring very well but have a local friend who is going to help me replace it when we can get his day off match up...
in the mean time for winter I have it set so if i lock the hubs i am in 4x4 and yes the rest is still spinning and needs to be addressed here in the next week or so
