I've seen 180 in town with my truck in stop and go traffic, how long have you been at 70?

It had been about 15 miles.
I just don't understand why it runs so much warmer than the factory trans. If it's normal and not a damaging issue then that is fine. I just want to make sure that this thing doesn't **** the bed on me in 30k miles because of the increased Temps

Also not sure if I'm comfortable with that voltage. I don't know when the batteries were done so I'm going to do those as well.

My trans never exceeded 168* pulling a 15,000lb trailer full of crap through the Sierras last week. Stock trans with 237,000 miles.

Did he change the temp sensor when he had it back? I wonder If maybe it's biased? Have you looked at the temp at startup? Is it close to oil and coolant temp? Do you have a red dot thermometer to check the pan temp once it's warmed up? My stock trans runs in the 165 range at highway speeds unloaded.

I have the bpd hd oil cooler. It takes a little time for my oil to warm up.
I get the same Temps as you guys with my stock trans. In my last 2 trucks. Always run in the 150s. Highest I've ever seen mine was 163 and that was towing.
This warren has always run high and was part of the reason it was pulled and sent back. Andy said all was well except a sticking direct solenoid but I have about 65 Miles on it since back in and aprears to be the same song and dance.
