Thank you for that. IIRC from helpful people such as yourself, I'm probably in good shape since my pressure took a while to even register a few psi and it never spiked and stayed around 7 psi. 10,000 pounds empty and floored. I hope.

It is a closed and sealed system (short of the cap being bad). It should hold pressure until it is vented somehow. Now the question becomes what vents it. Well there is really only a few ways. The cap, the owner taking the cap loose, or a leak. The leak on a 6.0 is the most common, and only really 2 things. One being the good ol EGR cooler. The other being the HG. What interesting about the HG issue is that its RARE to consume coolant from a HG leak on a 6.0 or 6.4. However they will slowly vent the pressure off through a bad HG when let to sit overnight. Now a waterpump that's also on its way out can cause a leak as well as obviously a hose or radiator. However the most common seem to be the coolers and HG. Now a hot engine cooling down will lower the pressure in the system as the coolant cools down and contracts back to the cool'd size it was. The Expansion of the coolant when heated up should be the ONLY pressure in the system. Anymore and you have an issue. This is why the WOT coolant pressure tests show soooo much bad news. HG leaks start REALLY REALLY small and grow the more they are driven. In other words you should always have pressure in the system unless you vent it or have an issue.

16,000 miles on them, and that's a fair question on the towing. I haven't had a chance to test these out under frequent, heavy loads.
