Thoughts on Rebuilding/Replacing injectors?

Whats everyone's thoughts on OEM reman vs reman service vs home reman for injectors? I saw that there are now spool valves available on the market, along with the option to get the other moving parts as well as O-rings. I have a #2 injector that needs replaced, and #8 has already been replaced, so I really think replacing the set would be best, but I am tight on cash. What are yalls thoughts on changing spool valves and o-rings? Would run me about $350 to replace all 8 spool valves and o-rings

If I decide against a rebuild here at home, I was thinking SoCal Diesel for my rebuild, and would run me around $750 for all 8. So far I havent found anything bad surrounding SCD other than one bad batch of duramax injectors they had back around 09

Have not done injectors yet, but when the time comes, OEM remains. I do not want extra power, am not tuned, and I see a lot of posts about an occasional bad injector from a non-OEM place. Also, I think I have stiction, but never really gets cold enough in AZ to be sure. Iím sure at 15 years and 193k miles, that the injectors need more than just spools and External O-Rings.

I’ve installed hundreds of ford remans over the years and have seen less than a 1% failure rate. I’ve also removed dozens and dozens of aftermarket stock rebuilt injectors for being garbage. Misfiring, hpop leaks, etc.

You’re better off replacing the 1 with a ford reman and saving up for the remaining 6.

OEM remain is the ONLY option IMO. I wouldn't go with anything else unless you're looking to replace all 8 and make some big power. That's the only reason I'd take a chance on one of the aftermarket injector builders.

if I was in your position and didn't have the cash flow for the set of injectors, I would just replace the bad injectors with oem as they go bad.
I did mine 4 at a time..
With all that said the you tube videos make it look super easy to rebuild..👍
