wot fuel pressure loss

hey i got a 2004 6.0 and i'm having a problem in overdrive where my fuel pressures at about 50psi when i open her up alil the fuel pressure drops to like 10 psi and the truck just stays still my boost psi goes up but the truck doesn't go anywhere i replaced the pump and have a blue spring kit in any idea what could be causing the issue. i'm running a mild panty dropper tune also.

lol - I guess I missed the fuel pump replacement in the first post also!

You didn't mention fuel filters, but I am guessing you replaced those? Are you sure that the gauge is accurate?

It could be that something went wrong w/ the blue spring install, but no way to say for sure over the internet. You may have to get a pressure profile from the pump discharge to the regulator to find out where the pressure loss is.

I suppose it depends on where you are measuring fuel pressure -- before or after the fuel filter
but with only 10psi under load -- you have a flow problem
The 50psi is a pump or regulator problem -- blue spring should be 70

The pump should be able to put out 100psi(internal regulator) straight off the line

I would disconnect the outlet line from the pump and test pressure/flow there first
100psi deadhead and good flow open

Use a clear line with a loop in it to watch for bubbles

General note:
For all those wanting a premium silicone sealer Kubota 70000-73764 is the best your gonna find. This is a hybrid gray silicone that uses solvent rather than acid to start the curing reaction, this makes it safe for aluminum and and any surface that involves coolant.
