thus far with a 188k miles:

my failed injector #7 replaced

OEM upgraded Oil cooler including screen and seals

Blue spring upgrade kit

STC fitting upgrade kit

EGR cooler and EGR valve replacement (upgrade) I didn’t want to delete Incase I travel states

New air intake and charge pipes

Coolant filters and oil filters

Stand pipes and dummy plug

Driver and passenger side full glow plugs and harness swap

EDGE CTS2 monitor with all the wiring for my exhaust, oil and fuel pressures

Down the road I plan on bulletproofing the head bolts and head gaskets, replacing all the injectors, and upgrading my FICM and turbo.

Hopefully my truck runs better now and last until I can get everything else done. I don’t plan on hauling anything till I get the last bit of upgrades so do y’all think it’ll be okay for now?

Why do you think that? I’ve pretty much upgraded all the failing points in the truck minus the turbo and head bolts.

Yep....true story.

Had you bought a Toyota Camry your question would probably net the answer you are looking for.

This truck engine is finicky and temperamental.

Good Luck

I didn’t know what I got myself into when I bought the truck and then when it started to get problems I started doing my research and learned all about the 6.0. I’m already 3k in parts in it and a 1,400 FICM repair and fuse box and wiring harness repair already and ain’t gonna give up on it just hate that I haven’t got to enjoy the truck as much as I wanted too because it’s been sitting so long being worked on with what little bit of time I can spare out of my 60 hour work week.

Drive it and enjoy it. I can't find enough excuses to drive mine. Love it!

Only thing that scares me to death about the truck is before the FICM repair and fuse box repair the truck shut off mid drive (40 mph) and I had to man handle the **** out my steering wheel so I wouldn’t hit a car and got my truck to run up on a sidewalk into an open parking lot.

Hoping that don’t happen again but my truck wouldn’t start after that and had it towed and that’s when they had to put a new FICM in and repair my burned out wiring harness and redo the entire fuse box because they said eveything blew do to a bad battery I had in the truck

I've been in a similar situation in my IDI. I was going through a busy intersection and making a left when the power steering pump went out. I had to strong-arm the **** out of it just to keep from taking out the people going the other direction making their left turns. Thankfully I was only a few blocks from the house and on my way there anyway.

The list of things you've done looks good to me but as mentioned: you never know with these trucks. I recently did the same items you've listed and the truck has never ran better. I'm completely smitten!
