FORscan with 6.0?

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone has experience with FORscan on a 6.0? I was thinking about buying an OBDII adapter because I heard you can recalibrate the speedometer for larger tires. My SCT X4 does not even though several have claimed it will.

Thanks in advance!

FORscan with 6.0?

Yes I have used mine with both Wired and Wireless.

Wired I use this: https://www.amazon.com/OHP-ELMconfig.../dp/B01F0GVBWY

Wireless I use this: https://www.amazon.com/OHP-Forscan-A.../dp/B06XJL31Z7

I also use the Wireless version with my iPhone since Bluetooth wonít work with iPhone for security reasons.

Iíve had them for years and 0 issues.

*EDIT*

My copy of FORScan is the Windows version. For my iPhone I use DashCMD.

Ok thanks. Do u know any cool things you can do? I already have an edge for monitoring. Would like to know how to recalibrate my speedo for 37's.

I've got a post on here somewhere that explains the process to get the speedo set properly with Forscan. You can set revs per mile up to a point. After that I think you have to play with the reluctor settings. It's been a while so I may be remembering wrong.

I'll see if I can dig that old post up.

EDIT: Found it. Doesn't go into a lot of detail, but it starts at this post.

Would Forscan be able to reprogram the fuel gauge to read accurate for a titan 51 gallon tank?

After installing the tank, the needle is stuck on F for the first 20 - 25 gallons, and when the light comes on, supposed to be 10 gallons left. This makes me have little faith in using more than 35 gallons. Never quite know where I'm at. Have not heard of anyone being able to fix the gauge yet.

I wouldn't think they're would be any programming involved with the fuel level sender, but it's possible. Sounds more to me like the sender swing arm isn't right for the tank.
bismic and letsmow10 like this.

Probably worth a call or E-Mail to Titan on my part. All the comments I see is people just live with this. You'd think Titan would make a kit to let the fuel gage be accurate.

I suggest dropping the tank and measuring the distance from the top(where the sender sits) to the bottom of the tank(inside)

Then using a straight edge held against the bottom of the sender mounting plate, determine where the upper arm travel stops
measure next the lower travel of the arm

Then compare the swing to the tank measurement -- lower arm stop needs to be an inch or so from the bottom of the tank -- and upper stop should not let the float touch the top of the tank

May need to bend the arm a little -- would also be a good time to check the action of the fuel gauge

I would also check that the fuel pickup is at or very near the tank bottom

In my defense, I was unsupervised

General note:
For all those wanting a premium silicone sealer Kubota 70000-73764 is the best your gonna find. This is a hybrid gray silicone that uses solvent rather than acid to start the curing reaction, this makes it safe for aluminum and and any surface that involves coolant.

I just got my OBDII adapter and forscan. Everything works but in the ABS Module programming, I can only select down to 612 revs/mile or 1 (other). Does anyone know how to input a custom value? I need to set it at 560 revs/mile. Also, where would I go to change the tone ring size if that matters as well?

Thanks.
