Need helper to keep pouring in fluid while you are in a RUNNING truck with wheels off ground and at a reasonable speed turning lock to lock. You will absolutely also need to press on brake pedal firmly intermittently to keep oil passing though the system into bucket.

Thats it I would use ALL 5 QUARTS for a flush to be proud of.
Last thing I put a filter on my return line forget name but its a magnetic filter that grabs any fine metal. Not restricted by mesh so its the one.
When you take one line off and put the other back on doesnt that add air into the lines?

No for the best answer. It’s the highest point of the system and why it’s in the location.

Other factor is that’s a return line so any air that would still be up in the area isn’t for long since it’s one directional flow it will send it to the tank that’s vented at the cap.

I do feel the wrong oil is in it.

It’s No Bueno my friend.
It’s LV low viscosity fluid not to be used with Mercon V

Go get at least 4 qts of Mercon V or a exact spec from Valvoline or anyone else

Then follow as I stated above. Then let us know it’s back to behaving again

Don’t beat yourself up on that LV being sold to you with a yes sir thats the new replacement.
It happens and I have had happen to myself.

I truly don’t think it’s caused damage it’s just not what the pump likes for building hydraulic pressures.

Chalk it up as a day things went haywire by some dummy who set it in motion.

Not a big deal. Good luck on it. It will be fine.
