Loud bang air hissing now no boost

So I drove over the Cascade mountain range to pick up a trailer. The trailer weighs maybe 4000 lbs. I starting to get on the highway wide open throttle got to about 50 miles a hour and there was a loud bang and then heard a few seconds of hissing as the boost dropped to zero. Pull over checked all the boots and they were still attached. Limped back to where I bought the trailer and parked it back where it was. With no boost drove back home 125 miles. Going up a few grades with no boost meant falling below 40 mph dam what a dog it is without the turbo boost. So where do I start? I can still hear some hissing while driving but not parking with the hood up.

If you have an 05 you probably have the black plastic cold air tube from the intercooler to the intake. If so I'd bet it's cracked. Hope you were monitoring your EGT's while driving without boost. Bet it got real hot

The plastic tube on the drivers side like to split at the bellows(pull the air filter box out to inspect), also look at the air cooler tank on the passenger side -- can spit the gasket out where the tank seals to the radiator

You build little to no boost without load on the engine, so your not gonna see anything(leaks) at idle

Use a 4 inch rubber plumbing cap and air fitting on the turbo intake to pressurize the intake system -- start about 10 psi and go up if you feel your "plumbing" job is secure -- stop around 30psi, no need to create any problems

In my defense, I was unsupervised

General note:
For all those wanting a premium silicone sealer Kubota 70000-73764 is the best your gonna find. This is a hybrid gray silicone that uses solvent rather than acid to start the curing reaction, this makes it safe for aluminum and and any surface that involves coolant.

Well, it has ran a lot of miles with the current style pipe, prolly will run similar with a new one -- or change over to the older style metal tube, some of the Vendor sponsors on this site sell the metal one

As much as I would like to help any sponsors here, it appears Amazon can get me the stock upgraded part the fastest. Oh well I think it sucks, but actually it appears it blows. Well the stock part it is.

No Thank you though, I think I got it figured out not able to help any sponsors here but Lasco Ford appears able to get me the upgraded one either 8-20 to 8-22 for just 95 dollars.
Really had a bad day on the highways today. And now the trailer I just spend good money on is 2 and half hours away.
