2005 E350 6.0 Superduty alternator

I'll be replacing the alternator (single alternator arrangement) on my 2005 6.0 E350 Superduty Van.
Anybody have a link or helpful advice on how to do it right the first time?
Thanks,
Gene

It's a nice easy job. If it takes you more than 20 minutes, something has gone wrong. I would take the opportunity to clean and re-secure your battery terminals at the same time.

Easy, in a van?

From the perspective of a non-mechanic.

Yikes, I didn't realize the different mounting location relative to the cowling in the E-series. Nothing about that looks overly difficult, but it certainly doesn't look fun. lol

I figured everyone was reading F-350.

The person I knew who had one didn't think it was an easy job. And I used to own a van, different world. But it's real easy to get to the back of the motor.

It's a pain in the van, I did a friend's the other day. Two people are best, one inside and one out. Have to remove the turbo charge pipe and bracket, other than that it's the same as the truck. Just a PITA to get to.
