Coil Spring Axle Swap

I decided to start a thread to show the swap eventually but mainly for now show the progress being done to it.
Here is the axle when first being brought home

Plans are probably go through everything and see what needs to be replaced since it will be a lot easier out of the truck. I'll probably replace everything that has boot that is pretty cracked or torn. Paint everything before it goes under. Open to suggestions on what to do now and while I'm moving through the project.

Donor truck is from a 2009, I'll hopefully be getting the rear axle from it too. I just got the front because the rears are much cheaper and I know for sure it will work..I've seen some people say that the rear changed in 2008 to require a different length driveshaft, but these were Excursion threads and the one Superduty thread that mentioned a 2008-2010 said that it is okay. It will be a bigger pain for me if it is different because of the ZF6, let alone in 6.4s. It will probably have to be a custom driveshaft if so.

I want to do this on my 97 OBS F250 w the 7.3 Powerstroke. Will be watching closely. I want to see how and where the spring mounts get put in for the front. The rear shud be no big deal. Need to know how much fabrication is required, whether kits are avail, and getting the axle aligned to the truck as square as possible

A lot of the holes exist already. You can put the radius arm brackets on before so you fan get all that ready. The shock towers unbolt and those holes line up with the coil bucket and you can drill holes from there. I think the only major holes are the track bar bracket, only one is there so you can line it up, but the rest of the holes are missing.

Shoot just saw that it was a 97. I imagine it can be done still with no kit but it may make it easier for you due to placement but it could still be done I bet.

The wheel bearings already feel good but I went ahead and greased them more through the ABS hole. I greased the U joints too while I was near. Does anyone know if 05-10 axles came factory with greaseable ones? I don't think they would as mine don't, but maybe that was part of the change. I know that both sides are greaseable and only one ball joint is greaseable so I assume that whoever had it just did bare minimum if it need to be replaced, but maybe both U joints needed to be replaced.

Is the Track bar a 30mm or around there? Was wanting to get it off to paint the bracket but I don't have a metric that will go over it and my standards are sloppy
