2007 6.0 f350 coolant smell but no leaks anywhere

So, I wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem on their 07 6.0. So I smell coolant after 50 mile highway drive but no leaks anywhere. The reservoir is full to line, plus I just replaced all the hoses, thermostat, reservoir, and cooling temp sensor and did a flush. But it's not overheating or Losing power. So I am really confused no smell coming through vents, it's only when you get out of truck you smell it.

The degas cap could possibly be leaking.

Reasons for a cap leaking are:
1. weak cap
2. over-pressured coolant system (head gasket or EGR cooler issue might be the cause in this case)
3. Degas cap sealing surface is rough or not level

It also could be one of the two small coolant lines that go to the degas bottle (vapor space connections)
Hydro likes this.

Radiator hose where it connects to the thermostat housing, or possibly the EGR hose in the engine valley are also trouble spots -- doesn't take much coolant to make a smell, you may only see a small leak

In my defense, I was unsupervised

General note:
For all those wanting a premium silicone sealer Kubota 70000-73764 is the best your gonna find. This is a hybrid gray silicone that uses solvent rather than acid to start the curing reaction, this makes it safe for aluminum and and any surface that involves coolant.

I found a leak on the engine side of my lower hose after a radiator and lower hose replacement. I tightened up the hose clamp and the odor was gone.

I had the same issue and it turned out to be the plastic top cap on the radiator slowly separating from the aluminum radiator body. If you look along the rear side of the black plastic top cap and see some moisture, your radiator is on it's way out. The same thing happened on my 2002 F150. Poor design of the OEM radiator.

This isn't my picture, but I circled the plastic top cap seal I am referring to in red:

Pressure up the cooling system using air so you can look for leaks without the engine running. That was the only way I found mine.

Two things I got:

If you just replaced your hoses, thermostat, etc. you may have misaligned a clamp when you were re-tightening the hoses. If you don't place the clamps on the same marks it made, a small leak may develop (shout outs to DieselTech Ron, RIP!)
or
Could it be spilled coolant (from the changes) that is slowly burning itself off the hot engine parts?

Frustrating nonetheless...
