SRL+ long term

Hello!

I’m new around here and am getting back into the automotive world a bit. Started working waaay to much a few years back and now it’s time for me to slow down a little and start traveling and adventuring again so I needed a new vehicle.

I picked up an 05 excursion that came studded and deleted. Not knowing who did the work I redid it myself. I put in new studs, delete, bulletproof oil cooler, bulletproof water pump, and radiator..also a turbo back straight pipe and an old cts monitor that I still had from my last 6.0 in 2006.

My big question!!

It came with a sct programmer with Matt’s tunes on it. I have been running the 8k tow tune for my daily(I will NEVER tow anything). But I have tried the SRL+ and liked it a lot.

What kind of long term experience have y’all had with the tune? I’m never going to race it..the 2 months I had the SRL tune on I never went beyond an 1/8 of the pedal. I drive like an old man.

Several diesel shops who I picked up parts from for my build told me this tune is safe with my driving habits, and even Matt said the same. However, I’m naturally a worrier and would like to here from guys who have ran this tune for a long time.

Thank you
Bench

Drive it ! Don't beat the crap out of it but also don't be afraid to roll into it . Once you've used it for awhile everything
else feels lame . The shifting is really nice as a daily driver . It's my permanent tune .
There is another available that has very high ratings among the 6.0 guys , Truck source diesel .... SPD .
I haven't tried it yet but I'm going to .

How long have you had the tune loaded?

I had SRL+ on my 07 and 06 for 20k miles on each and never had a problem with it. Both my trucks loved that tune.

I've been using it for years . It's great shifting around town and nice to drive on the highway .

Does y'all's start hard? Not a long crank, just a abrubt bark instead of smooth roar?
