I did the repair on my OEM and it was good for the remaining life of the radiator. When the tanks started leaking I installed the 1st of 4 Mishimoto radiators.

I purchased the 1st on ebay because my OEM was leaking. About a yr and 30k miles later it started leaking. Tried to fix it but that's a no go for sure. Mishi replaced it under warranty. Another year and that one started to leak. By that time Mishi had owned up to problems with the design and sent me the updated one under warranty. It did cool better but was recently taken out in an accident ( or was it? ) It had a VERY slow leak so it was replaced by insurance with another Mishimoto. Based on past experience I'm not sure the leak wasn't already there. I think that's 4(?) LOL!

My radiator is not Mishimoto, but a product BPD buys, not manufactures. It is manufactured in Thailand. When it was in the shop, BPD did an awesome job with everything they touched. At the time, I was gone 10 and a half months a year. And could not do the work by myself.

Bet the experience of pipe fitting helped a lot in that job. I kind of wonder what I've done for a living all these years with each repair I attempt usually involves learning a new skill and several YouTube videos. I am getting pretty handy at removing the Air Filter on the truck. When I did my repair, I know it was not DTR's video, may have been before he made it.
