Best head choice

I'm in need of a head gaskets and studs,I'll be doing this in my buddy's garage and I don't want a lot of downtime so I'm thinking replacing the heads rather having my machine shop have them for the needed time. I'm thinking a new casting from Promax that someone has worked over.. I'm not looking for big power, just some reliability. I'm willing to go with a reman if they come recommended.. thanks in advance

Here's a thread to check out. https://www.powerstroke.org/forum/6-0...x-heads-6.html
If you really want new casting give Charlie a shout. @peixinho
Or there's this Home | Southeast Cylinder Head
And the standard answer is https://store.ucfmachineshop.com/

Oh yeah, best head ever...a young brunette (sorry, just seemed necessary)

I am buying new heads from Charlie at kc.
I have been in direct communication with the builder and this dude ia top notch and took the time to teach a dumb guy like me all I needed to know about his product.

The requirement is swapping over to the newer pushrod since the valves are cut to specific tolerances to accommodate these.

Just a thought and my opinion but after HOURS of research and phone calls I am convinced this is the best way to go.....like Charlie's turbo was.

@backhoebill might have some input here. He is having head issues. Or should I say mechanic issues.

What type and is it related to the heads or the install?

I paid for UCF heads and new reman OEM injectors from a mechanic, then paid to have them installed. I got new head gaskets with my stock heads with one new injector......sooooo, I bought some UCF heads from.....UCF, go figure! They are another great option. Very good reputation for delivering a good factory casting all fixed up with o-rings. But I trust anything Charlie sells, so weigh the options for you.

Was wondering if you're planning a road trip once you get it buttoned back up?
