Alright, since nobody else has done it yet, I guess it's up to me to start this one. That way we can get back to "on topic" in the "what did you do" thread  No topics in particular required.........if it doesn't take off I'll kill it, otherwise I figure it may help wrangle in a couple of the other threads. Up to you guys though.

So there's the awkward start haha.....

the mavic pro would be my top choice and what i will likely go to when i can afford it and feel i wont destroy it :look:

way [oints is what the one i got coming calls it and the only thing that concerns me about it is trees

i dont want to run it in to any trees for sure :yikes:

i thinnk it will work pretty well for what i need i only have 2 batteries but can order another couple later 18 minute flight time supposedly so i will plan on about 12 minutes just to be safe then swap the battery and go again if i need to.
Yeah, just need to hope that doesn't come down into any [emoji268] or your might be climbing. Is that 18m flight time while recording?

I have two batteries with my pro platinum, and wish I had one more.....and a car charger for the batteries and the controller. While on vacation camping, that would be good. I saw a Mavic pro w/4 batteries, a case a d everything for $700 yesterday near me.

Do any of you all listen to podcasts? I just recently got into it. Been listening to Joe Rogan and Steve Rinella from Meat Eater (great show on Netflix if you haven’t seen it).

I used to listen to those and several others, but kind of fell out of the habit. Last podcast on the left is pretty funny if you can put aside a lot of the off handed comments.

Yeah took it around the block real quick and its fun. It's a 924S which is a 924 but got the 944 engine and transmission. Didn't take much to get running either. Didn't even think about hitting with starting fluid and I drained the gas and it was dark brown. Filled up a little with fresh gas and took the end off the fuel rail for a few seconds and it fired right up, no hesitation.
Pretty sure those are water cooled aren't they? Depending on how long it sat, you should flush the cooling system, coolant does nasty stuff when sitting a long time. Nice little car to play with. :thumb:

Yeah once I got it fired up and added some water I guess it built enough pressure/heat that a heater core hose started leaking because someone tightened it wayyy too much. I thought I'd take it off and take it down to O'Reilly and get a new hose section but once it was out, one side is half the size than the other so I had to order it. But when I undid that hose it was not a pretty color. I got that hose on and just put water in because I also bought the upper and lower but just wanted to drive it and get the rest of that stuff out.

i broke my back a few years ago and climbing 100' trees is not in my game plan...
i'll just drop the tree and try to land it drone up and hope its repairable :hehe:

good god man when i looked into the mavic pro it was 1200 bucks with 2 batteries :surprise:
maybe i can find my way to get one sooner than i thought. tat is a screamin deal with collision avoidance for me in the forest... that HAS to be a good idea
i am just hoping this cheapy is good enough for a while.
it should be ok??? if i could get it to follow the truck/phone on a trail without hitting a tree it would be great. and more of a toy than a business tool at present but the idea is there...if i get that far with this whole camper idea

but i need to buy tires with my next outlay of $
i did manage to get just about 73 k out of the bfgs that were on my truck but they arent going back on. kinda thinking of general atx i like the 50k waranty and a buddy who died of cancer a few years ago used to work on the compounds for them so it would be kida of a hat tip to him

Anyone have any results from using archoil ar9100 in anything other than oil? i.e., power steering, trans, or rear end?

Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
i have been taking oil adding it to the archoil bottle after dumping it in my truck then filling my oil can from that and it seems to work for hinges etc around here pretty well :dunno:
i ws thinking of adding some to the genny and blower but...

Probably should do a full flush before adding new antifreeze
yea i was thinking cascade flush or two purge and refill...
those are fun to drive my old boss had one

So there is a brush, an ice scraper, and a snow shovel next to the door. Moma asks my almost 20 yr old son to start her truck for her so she could run into town. No biggy right? Hit the button on the remote and let her warm up. He decides to go out and start it. We had our first snow this morning, about 3 inches. So he decides to clear the snow off the hood and windshield i assume. U see where im going right? I get home after midnight from work, notice the shovel laying on the ground, not where i left it, and a pile of snow in front of her truck. Then i notice a huge gouge on the front corner of the hood. Then i decide to look closer, there is scrapes all over the hood and A pillars. This is a pretty new truck, 2016 chevy 1500 with barely 30k on it. Needless to say im pretty sure i know what he used and come morning i have some questions to say the least.

Yeah I'm probably gonna do all the fluids. The plates say 2011 but apparently it was only driven a couple days because it had a high idle issue, so they parked it again but had been on that property for 14 years. The brother of this guy had it before and he had it for a year and before that some rich lady had it so when the AC went out on it she parked it in her garage and bought another car. The guy I bought it from changed the timing belt and wheel bearings I guess around the 2009/2010 point when he got it inspected but thats the only known work I have on it.

Hey guys. Are the front rear rotors the same on the 05-07 trucks ?

Yes, SRW & DRW are different and of course 2WD are different too but 05/07 SRW are the same

I was sitting here browsing the forum and heard a loud CRASH in the garage. Ran out there to see my clothes rack that I hang my hunting clothes, raingear, and a bunch of other crap I probably don't need, had broken and collapsed in a heaping mess!

How does this tie-in with the 6.0 chat thread, you ask? Well, under said rack was my OptiLube XPD bottle with the pump spout...

Yup, you guessed it. My whole garage now smells like the sweet fragrance of fuel additive and so do some of my hunting clothes that were on the rack!! Luckily, i'm done with hunting for the season. Needless to say, i've got camo, carhartt, vests, jackets, etc. hanging up on the swing outside in the back yard to "air out." My neighbors probably think i'm getting ready to have a garage sale LOL

Sometimes you just gotta step back and chuckle at things... :D

Speaking of OptiLube, wheres the best place to get it that shipping doesn't make the bottle cost $75

Rode past the 6.0 and the 7.3 today. 70* and sunshine in late Oct was too hard to resist. That and I had to test ride it after doing the wheel bearings and changing the trans oil. Buck was like, where do I ride? :)

Some would say it is - others would say you don't even need a fuel additive. I'm in the "something is better than nothing" crowd and prefer OptiLube. I used Diesel Kleen before and never had an issue. However, I will say that the engine is slightly quieter and smoother at idle with OptiLube vs. Diesel Kleen.

I'm in the same camp. I might give it a try if I can find some locally. I've been using archoil 6200 and diesel kleen. I don't know if any of them help, but I use them.
