You wont be able to either if u move to Idaho.

If it isnt covered in snow or ice, the sand will get you. Lol

Although ive only rode street bikes and mainly a Hayabusa. Decent in the rain but once we get the first snow, might as well be riding on a gravel road around here.

Does Idaho salt or sand the roads when it snows?

What's wrong with driving on gravel? My concours has been down more miles of gravel than I can count and a couple dirt bike trails. (I do draw the line at mudholes)

Ive taken the busa down gravel roads, not near as fast as pavement though.
The unnecessary amount of sand in the intersections is what makes it interesting.

Depends on the area, here around me mainly sand, and the de-icer. That stuff is slicker tuan ice alot of the time. Further north of me like in McCall, they salt. Pretty sure they also salt on the east end too. But the snow amount and overall harshness of winter is much higher in say idaho falls than boise. Likewise McCall gets feet of snow when we get inches.

I'd tear up gravel roads on a dirt bike. This Hog is just a bit top heavy for that chit.

I do have to get some better pictures. Looks red & black in the pic, it's actually red and maroon.
I got to thinkin,(yeah it hurt, math involved) I got my first Harley when I was still in the Army, 1979 and the bike was a 52 Pan Head, not using common core that's 27 yrs old. I got this one in 2019 and it's a 92, again no common core, it's 27 yrs old too, kinda cool. The Pan head was in pieces with a crazy long front end and fresh painted frame, some assembly required.
This one was owned most of it's life by an old guy that never rode it, guy I got it from bought it a yr or two back and didn't have a garage so he let it sit outside, not good! Only had 22,500 miles on it when I got it. Right around 24k on it when the wheel bearing went. Combination of old grease and sitting outside was hard on it. I was gonna do both wheels at the 25k service, figured I'll do the rear now since the front was so bad. Gonna try to get another 1000 miles before the snow flies so I can do the 25k service as I put in away for the winter.

Just saw that Milwaukee has heated gloves now too. You may need those.
